We ran (or speed hiked) on some very primitive high and steep trails - and the scenery was just outstanding - which of course I have no photos of.

The day started out perfect with bluebird skies, and it ended with a slight drizzling rain - typical Telluride in August weather. I enjoyed this one tremendously - it reminded me of riding a tough mountain bike 100-miler - just without the bike. The level of effort and the time was just about the same.
I hope to do this one again as it is so nice to have tough challenges like this relatively close to home. I got up early in the morning, drove over and came back home at the end of the day - albeit a very loooong day. Telluride always delivers and this met my criteria for a good challenge!
